Stade de Reims won its U18 women's cup match against Olympique de Marseille, but the victory was marred by racist abuse. The match was interrupted for ten minutes after two OM players were subjected to racist insults.

What happened ?

The anti-racism protocol provided by the French Football Federation (FFF) was triggered by the referee after OM players were called « sales singes » or the phrase « allez les singes » was heard on the sidelines.

Club reaction

The Marseille club condemned « with the utmost firmness these unacceptable actions, which have no place either on a football field, or in sports in general, or more broadly in our society ».
